Now that you've planned your story to a T, it's time to write. How long you want the story to be, and the deadline for finishing your story is completely up to you since everyone moves at a different pace! I decided that my deadline will be May 29th, meaning that I'm not quite done yet, but I'm going to wrap up my blog posts anyways.
While writing, I learned that planning really is key. If you go too slow, you won't meet your deadlines, but if you move too fast, you'll be burnt out before you even get to finish your story. Writing overall is a pretty creative process, where the writer should make decisions based on who they are as a person, but there are definitely rules that everyone could follow in order to make the process as easy-breezy as possible!
If you have finished your story, you're probably wondering what to do next, and the answer to that question is all up to you! Do you want to publish it? Share it with your family and friends? Or keep it as a personal momentum? Decisions, decisions.
I decided that when I am finished with my book I want exactly two published copies, one for me and one for my English teacher who I had decided to write the story for. Publishing seems like a very intimidating task to tackle but it is fairly easy! There are websites that will make your book for you, whether you decide to sell it for profit or not. The website I am using is lulu.com, which I have found to be one of the cheaper and simpler options.
Once you create an account, the website walks you through publishing your book. You need a minimum of 32 pages in order to have the book published, but that's pretty much the only requirement you need in order to start publishing. I have yet to explore the website further than uploading my current pages, but once I begin the rest of my publishing journey I will be sure to update! Thank you all for reading, and I hoped all of you have found your inner writer from reading my blog.
